Those interested in working as a Special Instructor in Pennsylvania must have earned a Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college/university which includes fifteen (15) credit hours in Early Intervention; Early Childhood Special Education; Early Childhood Education; Child Development; Special Education or Family Studies. Additionally, prospective Special Instructors must have one (1) year of full-time or equivalent experience working directly with preschoolers with disabilities and their families or a university/college supervised student practicum/teaching experience with this population.
Those interested in working as a Special Instructor in Delaware must possess a Collegiate Professional Certificate with an Early Childhood Special Education endorsement and demonstrate supervised experience with infants and toddlers.
