This international web-based presentation discusses the definition of Social Emotional Development, the chronological acquisition of the skills, the impact of the environment on acquisition and the use of these abilities and the importance that these competencies have in the child’s learning process. 
(90 minutes including questions and answers period)

Intended Audience:
This presentation is recommended for Practitioners who are new to the field of Early Intervention and who do not have any specific training or knowledge in the areas of Personal, Social and Emotional Development and on the way these skills can change how a child relates to the environment.

By the end of the presentation the participants will:
1. Know what is Social Emotional Development and why it is important.
2. Be able to identify some of the most important Social-Emotional skills and their acquisition from birth to 10 years of age.
3. Understand how the environment shapes this learning process.
